Welcome to Eye Candy Beads, where using a rainbow of Italian glass, artist Elizabeth Drake designs and creates whimsical glass beads for her handcrafted jewelry.
Elizabeth may use several materials and take half an hour to create a single bead.
She uses the finest glass and a torch, wrapping layers of color around a spinning rod
and using liquid glass like color crayons.
Her techniques date back to antiquity.
Where color and fire meet, Elizabeth creates art that will last. Each creation is heat annealed for strength and longevity. |

School is keeping me pretty busy these days, but I have been in my glass room for about a month now. I am having fun with many new organic colors and some new bead styles. I am looking forward to the upcoming Summer Market season. I will have my usual booth set up in Manson (Chelan), Washington. I also plan on traveling abroad in Oregon and tring out new farmers market locations. I hope everyone is having a joyous Spring Season. I look forward to seeing everyone this Summer.
